COMPETITION

Our entry to this competition, run by Taylor Wimpey, sought to respond to the brief for the client to be able to build a range of prototype houses that are distinctive, aspirational, innovative, pragmatic, cost effective, land effective and capable of high quality mass production, with design appeal to their future customers.

ENCLOSE VOID

Our approach was to propose a simple home built around an adaptable double height space in the heart of the plan, a space that could be occupied by numerous uses that responded to different needs across generations. Our belief is that todays clients demand a higher level of spatial quality than represented by much of the mass housebuilder stock, and a flexibility in use that ensures broad market appeal.
